There are 3 most important parts of range mats you should consider: the turf on the top, glue in the middle, and the pad on the bottom.

1. Turf -- almost all range mats on the market today use polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) for the turf. These materials are a form of plastic which has very low melting point, which allows the turf to be ruined easily, often, and quickly. The reason for the use of PE and PP is because they are cheap. However, you would get liitle to no value from these mats before they are worn out.

Instead of PE/PP, Top Range Mats incorporated the highest grade material for turf, the Nylon. Even nylon has differnet levels. We use the most superior quality nylon on the market today, the Nylon 6-6. Because Nylon 6-6 has highest melting point, it is the most durable and the touch feeling is the most realistic, just like a well-maintained fairway.

2. Glue -- most range mats do not focus on the middle part of the mat, which is the reason for curling, separation, and delamination of the mat. How the turf was glued is crucial because it is the spine of the mat.

We use the well renowned German BASF glue, a type of special glue that firmly grasps materials together. Because of the high quality of the BASF glue, Top Range Mat never has problems with curling, separation, or delamination even after 4 years of use*

3. Cushion Pad -- because it is cheaper to use either the plain rubber backing or a blended EPDM for the cushion pad on the bottom, majority of the range mats do not provide a comfortable feeling when standing on the mat. The cheap method is also the reason for apparent elbow injuries that players suffer.

Top Range Mat uses the NBR cushion foam system to give a cushion-like feel and a comfortable stance to golfers. Because the NBR pad is optimized for golf ranges and specially designed to be extremely durable, it can withstand all types of weather conditions without becoming a solid state (too heavy) or loosening (melting/separating/delaminating).
